When it comes to working out, the hardest part is getting the ball rolling and getting started. Once the ball is rolling, it can still be tough to keep that ball rolling. I have some great tips on How to stay motivated to workout I will share with you.

One of the easiest things is talking ourselves out of working out.

SIGN UP FOR A GYM MEMBERSHIP

When it comes to getting and staying in shape, making a commitment to a regular workout routine is key. And one of the best ways to make that commitment and keep yourself accountable is by signing up for a gym membership.

There are plenty of benefits to being a member of a gym. For one, you have access to all sorts of state-of-the-art equipment that can help you sculpt your body and reach your fitness goals. You also have the opportunity to work with personal trainers who can help you create a custom workout program and give you guidance and support along the way.

But perhaps one of the biggest benefits of being a gym member is the sense of community and support you’ll find among other members. When you’re surrounded by people who are all working hard to improve their health and fitness, it’s easy to get motivated and stay on track. And if you ever feel like quitting or slacking off, all you need to do is look at all the other people in the gym working just as hard as you are and push yourself to keep going.

So if you’re looking for a way to stay motivated and stick with your workout routine, signing up for a gym is the way to go. And with so many gyms to choose from, there’s sure to be one perfect for you.

HIRING A PERSONAL TRAINER

Sign a commitment on a contract.

You can make promises to yourself all day, but this can be hard to keep and follow through.

This contract can be with a Personal Trainer, or you could even have one with a friend to hold you accountable. When you are paying a Personal Trainer, you are not only paying for their Fitness expertise, but part of the payment is for them holding you accountable.

Nobody likes to waste money, or at least I don’t.

Sure, a Personal Trainer can be expensive, but you don’t need to pay for one for 20 years. I would recommend if you are low on funds to at least try and get one for a week or two.

This will break the barrier of the hardest part and get you going. In those 1 or 2 weeks, you should learn some good workouts and tips to continue on your own.

FINDING A WORKOUT PARTNER

This has personally worked for me in the past and very well for a few reasons.

Especially if you are competitive and don’t want your friend to be stronger than you, I think this is a big help because of your guilt if your friend goes to the gym and you do not.

I trained a retired professional soccer player for six months. He just wanted to gain muscle and be better defined.

I heard repeatedly that he would have just stayed in if I didn’t text him to go work out. I stayed in and played video games, specifically soccer!

You will occasionally get upset with a workout partner because they try to talk you into working out on days you don’t feel like it.

I’ve had clients get very defensive and upset in the morning, and they are tired and grumpy, but one thing is for sure. Once the workout was done, 100% of the clients were in a great mood, and some even said sorry for being grumpy. A good day of physical activity can completely change your mindset.

So remember that next time your friend texts you, you get a little upset with them because it’s all for the better in the end.

PURCHASING A NEW SUPPLEMENT OR NEW EQUIPMENT

I can’t count on my fingers and toes the number of times I talked myself out of working out and just wanted to take a nap after work.

Does this sound like you?

Then I started researching Pre-Workout supplements, and that soon changed. If you haven’t tried a Pre-workout supplement, I highly recommend it because the alternative is not going to the gym and taking a nap.

So for me, the positives highly outweigh the negatives.

Another great supplement to purchase with great benefits is a good  Whey Protein Powder Isolate.

You could also purchase some new clothes or equipment.

An example would be some Squat shoes or a new workout shirt.

How could you not want to try these new shoes out?

Or even some new headphones to motivate you. One of the biggest reasons people don’t work out, even if they make it to the gym, is because they talk to people.

Getting a good set of headphones can fix that. Usually, people will not talk to you with headphones in, and you will do the same because you got some good jams going.

DOWNLOAD AN APP ON YOUR PHONE

I personally do this and have a few apps on my phone related to Fitness. There are some good ones to track your progress. Tracking your progress is very important.

Without ever keeping track, you don’t really know if you are improving. Tracking your progress with an app and seeing the progress is extremely motivating.

This makes you want to really lift more or run faster than the last time you worked out. Plain and simple, the heavier you’re lifting or running faster, the better you will look.

The one I recommend and use most is Jefit.

With Jefit, you can easily track your physical activity and progress and create routines. There is also a section with all the different muscle groups.

They have a calendar you can input your workout to know what muscle group you worked on a certain day.

This app is also FREE. You can also watch some motivational videos on YouTube. One I highly recommend is, ” How bad do you want it.”

This had worked for me in the past when I needed a little boost.

CHANGE UP YOUR FITNESS ROUTINE

When it comes to staying motivated to workout, it’s important to find ways to keep things fresh. If you typically do the same routine day in and day out, you may start to feel bored or even burned out. This can lead to a lack of motivation, which can make it tough to stick with your fitness goals.

But thankfully, there are plenty of ways to change up your fitness routine and keep things interesting. Here are a few ideas:

Try a new type of exercise. If you’re typically a runner, try taking up cycling or swimming instead. Or, if you’re into weightlifting, switch things up by trying Pilates or yoga. There are so many different types of exercises to choose from, so there’s sure to be something that suits your interests and personality.

Add in new challenges. If you’ve been doing the same workout routine for a while, add some new challenges to make things more interesting. For example, try increasing the weight you lift or adding an extra mile to your run. This is an easy way to lose weight fast if you stick to it.

Vary your workouts. Instead of always doing the same exercises at the gym, try mixing things up with different machines or classes. This will help keep your muscles guessing and prevent them from getting too used to one particular routine.

Join a group class. Working out with other people can be a great way to stay motivated. It can also be fun and social! Group classes offer various workouts, so you’re sure to find one you enjoy.

Changing up your fitness routine can be a great way to keep things fresh and exciting. By trying new exercises, challenges, and workouts, you’ll help keep yourself motivated and on track towards meeting your fitness goals.

All these are great examples of physical activity that will keep you motivated.

DO WHATEVER IT TAKES

These are all good ways, but it’s up to you in the end! You could have a bad day at work, and a great workout can change that.

I’ve seen it many times, the before and after of clients.

It also may be easier to start fresh on a weekend when the gym is pretty empty. I’ve asked many of my friends that don’t work out why, and they say they think everyone is staring at them and judging them.

This is really not the case, but even if you think it is, you will have to find a way to get over it and not use this as an excuse.

Combine some of these tips to get you into the gym with my top muscle-building foods, supplements, and workouts, and you will have all the confidence you need in the gym.

Start today or tomorrow; two months later, you will be so happy you did.

Please leave me a comment if you do start to hold yourself accountable, and you can do the same for me!
